Our practice has cared for the eyes of Chester County for over 25 years. In that time, we have worked hard to meet the needs of each and every patient entering our offices. We strive to not only meet their needs, but to exceed their expectations of personalized care.
Much has changed in Eye Care over the past quarter century. With each passing year, our practice has remained at the forefront of advances in technology, product development and medical care. We have grown in many exciting ways – including the opening of a new state-of-the-art facility Chester Springs during December 2003.
While much has changed, one thing remains constant – our commitment to providing excellent care in a truly personalized and caring atmosphere. As always, we appreciate the opportunity to serve your Eye Care needs.

From Our Website
Our physicians are at the forefront of pediatric eye care and are pleased to have Dr. Chris Lehmanon staff. He provides specialty pediatric eye care services in the field of binocular and accommodative dysfunctions in addition to learning related vision problems. Our doctors continue to work diligently to remain at the forefront of ocular disease management for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and dry eye. Our dry eye center offers many options in managing this common but chronic condition.
Our doctors have extensive experience working with young children, and recommend yearly eye examinations for all school-aged children. Additionally, we are proud to offer the services of Dr. Christopher Lehman, a residency-trained Optometrist specializing in the fields of Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. Vision disorders are the most prevalent handicapping condition in childhood. Research shows that as high as 15% of all children suffer from undetected visual problems. Because of this, the American Optometric Association recommends that all children have their eyes examined during the first year of life.
The American Optometric Association urges parents to include a trip to the optometrist in the list of well-baby check-ups. A baby's eyes are her windows to the world. Assessments between six and twelve months of age can determine healthy eyes and visual development. Our doctors encourage parents to have their children examined during the first year of life. Upon reaching school-age, it becomes very important that all children undergo annual comprehensive eye exams. While school screenings may determine that a child sees "20/20" or has "good vision", this does not encompass all aspects of healthy sight.
At both of our practice locations, Dr. Reto, Dr. Halscheid, Dr. Lehman, Dr. Sherman, and Dr. Kurtzman provide medical care for ocular disease. Our doctors are board-certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. As graduates of the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry, our doctors have extensive training in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting the eye. Recent advances in technology allow our doctors to diagnose disease more quickly and confidently than ever before.
At our two Chester County office locations, in West Chester and Exton PA, Dr. Steven Reto, Dr. Harry Halscheid, Dr. Christopher Lehman and Dr. Sabrina Sherman provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. Drs. Reto, Halscheid, Lehman and Sherman are Board-Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and all four doctors provide emergency on-call service for patients 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Our eye doctors specialize in contact lens care, and our practice has often been selected as a site for Clinical Trials in the development of new contact lenses.
